TC Bros. strongly recommends fitting these tanks to the frame before final finish. Mounts and mating components may need to be shimmed or adjusted. After that, we recommend pressure testing before applying body filler and painting—that’s standard practice in motorcycle shops to ensure there’s no re-doing the job.

These tanks are “in the white,” meaning raw steel, so it’s likely they will display some surface rust upon receipt since these are not sold as ready-to-install.
