The combination of Akrapovič’s engineering expertise and Ducati’s passion has produced a new full racing exhaust system crafted entirely from titanium and designed to boost the performance of the supersport bike. The system (to be installed once the number plate holder has been removed) not only guarantees high temperature resistance, but also complies with the static noise limit required on track. In fact, it generates an exhaust sound level of under 105 dB at 5,500 rpm, in accordance with FMI CIV SBK regulations. The special titanium alloy lightens the bike, significantly improving the power-to-weight ratio for consistently excellent performance on the circuit. The accessory features an innovative canister assembly that recovers the fuel that escapes during aggressive braking and returns it to the tank, contributing to consistent top performance. The map provided, with which all DTC – DWC – DPL and DSC parameters are adapted to the bike new performance, as well as the careful work carried out on torque and power, have led to improvements over the entire range of use of the Panigale. The new DAVC Race Pro software, included as standard, makes it possible to optimise engine calibration and control strategies for maximum performance on track in racing configuration with Akrapovič full exhaust and slick or rain tyres. This means that the instrument panel only shows the Slick and Rain Riding Modes. The software also makes it possible to enable the instant selection of different Riding Modes without requiring confirmation, just like on competition bikes, and to set up a filter that only shows the appropriate Riding Modes while riding. The ABS, DTC, DWC and DSC levels and Suspension Modes are redefined for performance purposes, as are all the Power Modes that deliver maximum power. The calibrations of the electronic controls are optimised for the use of slick tyres in the oversized racing sizes 125/70 R17 and 200/65 R17 or in sizes 120/70 and 200/60 by carrying out the tyre recalibration procedure. In addition to these features, there are also changes to the speedometer, which now shows speeds above 299 km/h, and the rear parking light, which turns on and can only be activated by selecting one of the two Rain Riding Modes in line with racing regulations in the event of rain. In all other cases, the tail lights do not work, meaning that the motorcycle, equipped with this high-performance exhaust system, can only be used for racing on closed circuits. The distinctive geometry of the twin underseat silencers not only boosts performance, compared to the previous version, but also makes the bike design even more unique, giving it an additional aggressive touch with its unmistakable sound.
